Music Video Idea's

In my music video I want to make use of fairy lights and mirrors as I have seen it in the Florence + The Machine video - I believe by doing this it will portray the calmness and simplicity of the song I have chosen to do.

Rehearsal of my dance scene

This is a video of my performer practising the dance sequence that she had choreographed for me and will be performing in my music video ...

After e-mailing my teacher, he was unable to fit me in for our college's theatre, therefore most of my filming will take part after our college Christmas break. However tonight I am going to film a rehearsal of my dancer.

Location List

Here is the location list for my music video ...

• My Sisters house - As she has a bare brick wall that will contrast well with my performers hair, complex and clothes. It also represents how my chosen song is bare/natural as it is just the performers vocals and the acoustic guitar with no auto tuning or a mass of instruments or computerised sounds.
• Vintage Rose Hair Room - As it has a chesterfield sofa that I wanted to feature in my music video. (as explained in prop list)
• My local park - as it reflects the nature and beauty of the song.

Filming my Dancing Scene

For the instrumental part of my song I am going to have a dancer. I have decided to film in my college's theatre after college. I have oraganised this with my performer and teacher. This is the e-mail I sent to request permission...

Prop List

As my video is very simplistic I have very few props ...

• An acoustic guitar - My performers own guitar that she used to create the song that she is performing for my video. Using this shows my performers dedication to music and her song as she has managed to teach herself how to play the instrument.
• Fairy Lights - To create the atmosphere to match the soothing nature of my song
• Chesterfield Sofa - These sofa's are now seen as old fashioned and vinatge, I believe that my song represents an era were artists were dedicated to thier music and wrote thier own songs and played thier own music instead of the pop stars we see today, I believe the choice in furniture represents the music instead of a maodern sofa we may see in peoples houses today.
